Christer Strömholm (1918 – 2002) was a Swedish photographer and educator. He is known for his intimate black and white street photography portrait series. In the late 1950s and early 60s, he lived in Paris intermittently and it was there that he captured portraits of the often glamorous transsexuals around the Place Blanche district of Paris.
