How and when did you become interested in photography?

I have always been interested in all forms of art and I use to draw and was interested in illustration but with the interest in fashion, I tried out photography and discovered its a much faster process and I enjoy working and creating with other people.

Is there any artist/photographer who inspired your art?

I was very fascinated my Herb Ritts work. I loved his classic lines, shapes, and use of light and shadows. I also loved his location work, taking advantage of the southern California landscapes. He has been a great influence in my work. I also love the works of Sylvie Blum, Andreas Bitesnich and Koto Bolofo.

Why do you work in black and white rather than colour?

When stripping away the colors of an image, there is a rawness and purity that I love about black and white. I also love the different tones that are achieved.

How much preparation do you put into taking a photograph/series of photographs?

I’m always online looking for different props and ideas for concepts, and of course, great models. Its an ongoing process. Sometimes when I have an idea, I will write notes or sketch the photo because normally once the model shows up for shoot time, I pretty much forget all of my ideas and just go with the flow of the moment.

Where is your photography going? What projects would you like to accomplish?

I would love to have a book published through a major international publisher and also gallery representation to bring to light more diversity in art photography.
